My aunt Suzanne is an incredibly generous family member. She works for Laura Dare and is always happy to give out as many samples as she possibly can. Last year for my daughter’s birthday she ended up giving her a gift certificate so that she could pick out whatever she wanted. When my daughter opened it up and read what it was, her face lit up brighter than the sun. She’s always wanted her very own pair of Laura Dare pajamas, but up until now my wife wouldn’t allow it.
She always said that although she found the clothing rather cute, she felt that it was a little bit racy for her young daughter. When she was finally old enough it was okay, and as soon as my little angel could pick out a couple of girls nightgowns that’s exactly what she did. She spent every last dime of that gift card on these things, which made my wife totally roll her eyes. I tried to tell her that when we were kids she was the same way, but she didn’t want to hear any of that. I guess everything really does come back around on you when you become an adult, so I told my wife to get ready for her daughter to grow up.
